This aircraft was manufactured by the Gloster Company and the turbo jet engine in which it heavily relied on was developed by Frank Whittle and his company Power Jets Limited. With its design, the Gloster Meteor was effective in combat and was used by other countries in several other wars. It was used by the Royal Australian Air Force during the Korean War. There are other special variants of the unit that was used as a night fighter, which have photoreconnaissance features.
