French Air Force Aerospatiale SA 330 Puma Helicopter 12" Desktop Model Aircraft The SA 330 Puma was created as a response to the French Armys call for a new all-weather helicopter. France wanted an aircraft which can carry considerable weight that it can use in a wide array of missions. The first prototypes flew on April 1965; it wasnt until 1968 that the Puma was introduced to the public. Interestingly, the helicopter gained recognition even before it was released. In 1967, the Royal Air Force was impressed by the specs of the Puma helicopter.
